The Grey Power Community is an initiative supported by Greenpeace Australia Pacific to encourage older Australians to take action on tackling climate change.

Older Australians:

• are concerned for others -- to safeguard the futures of their children and grandchildren
• have the respect of decision makers and the strength of numbers
• understand the value of doing more with less and not wasting
• are in the strongest position to notice changes in the environment
• are especially vulnerable to the health impacts of climate change, such as heat stress.

How to get involved

To become a Grey Power volunteer, the first step is to get in touch by e-mailing info@greypower.org.au or calling 1800 815 151.

We'll then send you a free "Beat the Heat!" kit describing ways you can make a difference.

Who can join?

Anyone can join the Grey Power community. There's no age limit and you certainly don't have to have grey hair, but most of our supporters tend to be over 50. If you want more of Australia's energy to come from clean sources, and a safer, healthier environment to live in, you're invited!
