Grey Power Community - meet the groups 

Ryde/Epping

Launched in May 2006, The Ryde/Epping group have been very active in their local community, lobbying MPs and candidates to deliver strong action to address climate change. they have conducted letter-writing groups, held a candidates' forum, an information stall at local markets and their work has been featured several times in the local media. 

The group meets every four weeks at the Holy Spirit Parish Hall in Cox's Road, North Ryde. Call 02 9263 0349 or email info@greypower.org.au for details of the next meeting.

Eastern Suburbs

The Eastern Suburbs group was established in September 2006 and has grown steadily to over 30 members. Some of the group's achievements include holding a series of stalls in Bondi Junction to collect letters to deliver to Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull and hosting a candidates' forum for the seat of Vaucluse in the NSW election of March 2007.

Northern Beaches

The Northern Beaches have been something of a climate change think-tank in the Grey Power community. They were instrumental in the production of the information leaflets Climate Change: The Real Facts and Save Money, Save the Planet as well as holding a candidates' forum and several information stalls.

Gold Coast

The Gold Coast group is the newest in the Grey Power Community. It held its inaugural meeting on 27 April 2007 and soon after held its first stall, educating locals about the risks and dangers of climate change, as well as the clean energy solutions. They are growing as a group and hold meetings on the first Wednesday of every month at 10 am, Christine Ave Hall (on the T section of Dunlin Dr) 131 Christine Avenue,
